This small mountain massif lies between the Central High Atlas chain and the enormity of the Saharan desert. Of volcanic origin, this region is still being sculpted by the Moroccan elements. The erosion is very varied, with its tabular massifs, basalt peaks and deep gorges. Your trek here will be 8 days long and take you on a tour of this severe and beautiful place. The Djebel Saghro peak, at 2800m dominates the tumultuous landscape and the land itself is pockmarked with numerous tiny villages populated by the tribe of Aît Atta. Whilst you are travelling through, you will trek through the Black Mountains, explore the Berber villages, experience the local culture and cuisine and pass by what is known locally as 'a gigantic head of bones'. All of the guides and members of your team are locally sourced, qualified and experienced individuals. Your safety and enjoyment are at the top of their agenda at all times. Remember that all treks can be altered to suit your needs.
