DAY 1 Casablanca

Upon arriving at Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca, you will be warmly greeted by your driver and photography leader. After check-in at the hotel, you’ll receive a comprehensive briefing from your leader. Depending on the time of day, you may have the opportunity to take a short tour of Casablanca, the biggest city in Morocco. There, you will get to admire a striking combination of Art Deco and Neo-Moorish architecture and walk through a variety of fascinating sites, including the Hassan II mosque.

DAY 2 Casablanca – Rabat – Chefchaouen

Today, you will have the opportunity to explore Rabat, the vibrant capital of Morocco, and admire the ancient Medina, home to the stunning Hassan Tower minaret. Sightseeing will include the mesmerizing Mohammed V Mausoleum, the Kasbah of Oudaya, an awe-inspiring 12th century fortress with breathtaking views of the ocean and the Bouragrag River, and the Mechouar, the protective fortification of the Royal Palace. Afterwards, you will depart for Chefchaouen, the blue-washed village in the Rif Mountains, and check in at the hotel for the night. In the evening, take advantage of the sights and take some incredible images of the town’s Medina.

DAY 3 Discover Chefchaouen

Come explore Morocco’s Chefchaouen and its ancient Arab-Andalusian structures! Stroll through the winding cobblestone alleyways and take in the beautiful blue-washed buildings capped with warm red rooftops. Your local guide will inform you of the city’s history as you make your way to the Outa Hammam Square, where you will marvel at the 14th-century fortress and the impressive mosque. As you journey through the city, take advantage of the opportunity to admire the exquisite fountains, squares, and traditional public ovens. Finally, arrive at the mesmerizing Ras El Maa spring and experience the majestic views from the Rif Mountains. Let Chefchaouen’s breathtaking beauty and unique culture enchant you!

DAY 4 Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fez

Following our breakfast, we headed to Volubilis, the ancient Roman archaeological site which made its way onto the UNESCO list in 1997. Delighted by the staggering mosaics, hundreds of Latin inscriptions, and a variety of artistic pieces, we were in awe of the beauty of the preserve. Our next stop was the magnificent 17th century Imperial city of Meknes, boasting powerful ramparts and the exquisite Bab Mansour gate (1732). Filled with grain and water and once housing 12000 horses, Sahrij Swani granary was a sight to behold. In addition, Meknes has an impressive olive oil and olive industry and the Lahdime square market holds a remarkable variety of olives. Finally, on our way to the medieval city of Fes, we passed by vast fields of wheat, barley, and olive trees.

DAY 5 Fes City Tour

Experience a photography tour in the timeless city of Fez, a World Heritage Site. As you stroll the narrow medina blazed with opportunity for fantastic photos, your knowledgeable guide will take you through the traditional craftsmen and children at play. Donkeys dragging carts and vendors above their heads transporting bread make the perfect backdrop. Capture the intricately carved walls, arches and cornices, and the breathtaking mosaics on the Nejjarine Fountain. Visit the Karaouine Mosque and the bustling souk with merchants selling colorful spices and goods. The legendary leather tanneries reveal locals working on skins of different animals in small pits. An experience like no other awaits you in Fez.

DAY 6 Fez – Ifrane – Midelt – Merzouga

Leaving the imperial city of Fez, we embark on an adventure across the Middle Atlas Mountains. We’ll make a short stop in Ifrane, also known as the small Switzerland, which is home to the first ski resort in Morocco! During our journey, we will witness breathtaking scenery and landscapes filled with Mountains and plains. We’ll also pass the Azrou cedar forest, home to the rare Maggot monkeys. Midelt is where we’ll take a lunch break and celebrate the annual festival of apples. After reaching the city of Errachidia, named after Prince Moulay Rachid in 1971, we’ll travel through the Ziz Valley and Arfoud, the gateway to the Sahara Desert of Merzouga. Here, we’ll ride camels to witness the breathtaking sunset in the middle of the Erg Chebbi dunes. To complete the day, we’ll spend a magical night in the desert camp, surrounded by dazzling stars in the evening sky.

DAY 7 Merzouga – Todra & Dades Gorges – Skoura

Today you rise before the sun to capture one of the highest rated sunrises from the Sahara Desert. Afterward, we travel to the ancient irrigation technique of Ziz Oasis. We will have a meal in the Valley of Todra, which is one of the most archaic valleys in Morocco used for trading silver and jewellery. Following the fifteen km long valley of dramatic gorges, we venture to Dades Valley for the stunning rock formations molded by millions of years of erosion. We then navigate through the valley of roses, the only place in Morocco from which Damascus roses are picked for rose water and oil ideal for skin care and anti-ageing. We ultimately reach Skoura’s palm groves to find shelter for the night.

DAY 8 Skoura – Ouarzazate – Ait Benhdaou – Marrakech

Today, you have the chance to take an optional tour to the Kasbah of Ameridil before journeying to Ouarzazate in Morocco, known as the Hollywood of Africa. Here, you will be able to visit the Cinema Studio. Afterwards, you will stop at Ait Benhaddou, an ancient village and UNESCO World Site since 1987, where countless movies have been shot like “Lawrence of Arabia,” “Jesus of Nazareth,” and “Gladiator.” After that, you will be taken to the North of the High Atlas Mountains, and will be able to admire the red Mountains and Berber villages along the way. Eventually, you will reach Marrakech, and will spend the night there in the beautiful Pink City.

DAY 9 Marrakech City Tour

You will explore the Medina of Marrakech today, and strive to capture it’s captivating beauty with your camera. The city combines a myriad of colors and ages, from snake charmers and magicians to wool dyers and wood carvers. Wherever you turn, you will find amazing photo opportunities, from Djemma el Fna Square to Bahia palace to the Ben Youssef Madrasa. These sites are beautiful examples of Moroccan architecture, filled with intricate mosaics and carvings. You will also be able to wander through the souks, a labyrinth of markets filled with traditional trades and crafts. So take your camera and find the enchanting beauty of Marrakech!

DAY 10 Marrakech – Essaouira

As we leave Marrakech and its exciting atmosphere, we journey to the beautiful, coastal city of Essaouira. This multicultural and artistic center has seen many greats, including the likes of Jimi Hendrix, Orson Welles, and Bob Marley. Essaouira’s Medina, which was built in the 18th century, is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is full of life and culture. Its distinct gastronomy based on fresh fish and argan oil brings a unique flavor to the city. In addition, it is a popular destination for many Moroccan artists and musicians due to its annual Gnawa music festival, an old spiritual art form of North-African Islamism.

DAY 11 Explore Essaouira

Essaouira lures people in with its beautiful sights, captivating culture, and gorgeous shorelines. Taking a picturesque stroll along the beach is the perfect way to explore the old Medina and its many wonders. While at the port, visitors can experience the vibrant craft center, traditional jewelers and bustling markets – ideal spots to find unique souvenirs. For a breathtaking panoramic look of the city, Skalla, located near the sea, is a must. End the day with a delicious fish-based lunch at one of the many local restaurants for a truly remarkable experience.

DAY 12 Essaouira – Casablanca
