DAY 1 Casablanca

Welcome to Casablanca! Not only is it home to the tallest minaret in the world, the grand Hassan II Mosque, but also it offers an array of must-see sights. Hosting 80,000 worshippers, the mosque is open to visitors and worshippers alike. Take a stroll through the Hobous, or New Medina, and explore its vibrant art deco architecture and traditional craft markets. DAY 2 Rabat – Chefchaouen

Begin your Moroccan escapade at Rabat, the country’s capital. Delight in the splendor of the Bab Oudaia, an entrance to the 12th-century Kasbah des Oudaias. Enjoy the serenity of the Andalusian Gardens and the beauty of the Hassan Tower. Afterwards, take a drive to Chefchaouen and discover the Plaza Outa el-Hammam and its delicious food. DAY 3 Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Fes

Afterward, the medina of Meknes, much smaller and more intimate, is the ideal place to explore the Imperial City. DAY 4 Fes City Tour

Take a guided tour of Fes, Morocco’s oldest imperial city, and discover its timeless beauty. Start at the Bab Boujeloud gate to see the 9th-century Al-Qarawiyyin University and its neighbor, the Al Attarine Madrasa. Stroll through the meandering alleys and pause to appreciate the artistry of authentic Moroccan crafts while admiring the Chouara Tannery below. DAY 5 Fes – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert

Start your day bright and early and make your way towards the Middle Atlas mountain range. Journey through the majestic cedar forests until you reach the desert region. Take the opportunity to explore the vibrant towns of Azrou, Midelt, and Erfoud. As you wander, marvel at the unique ksars, or fortified houses. Visit a nearby artisan collective to learn about the fossils discovered in the area. As the sun begins to set, you will arrive at Erg Chebbi. DAY 6 Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorge

Experience the thrill of the Sahara Desert! Get your morning started by renting a sand board and having a go at descending some of the dunes. Afterwards, take the Erg Shibi tour and immerse yourself in traditional drumming and dancing. Make sure to stop in Rissani and check out the grand gate entrance and the quaint donkey parking lot. Tinerhir is another must-see spot, boasting a river oasis of buttes, mesas and plateaus. Finish off your trip with a visit to the extraordinary Todra Gorge – a 300 m deep ravine. DAY 7 Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Kasbah Aït Benhaddou

Start your Saharan adventure by witnessing the stunning colors of an early morning sunrise. Rent a sandboard and join a tour with Erg Shibi to explore the sand dunes as the sun continues to rise. If a more adrenaline-filled experience is desired, rent a quad bike for an exciting ATV ride south to Khemliya. Visit the traditional village and then make your way through the acacia forests, picking up a box of dates in the Draa Valley. DAY 9 Marrakech City Tour

Here, hikers can join a mountain guide to explore the High Atlas Mountains at their own pace. Traverse picturesque mule paths and trails, passing farmers and shepherds tending to their mules and goats. Take in stunning views the further up you climb, stopping to share a traditional lunch with a local family to learn about life in the area. Continue your hike in the afternoon and eventually arrive at a homestay to enjoy a home-cooked meal with a friendly family. Revel in the serenity of nature and take away lasting memories.

DAY 12 Marrakech – Essaouira

Journey west from Marrakech and experience the undulating hills and unique argan forests. If you’re lucky, you might come across some goats eating argan fruit in the trees, a common sight when vegetation is not plentiful. Tour the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Essaouira, a place of serenity compared to the hustle and bustle of Marrakech. Follow the Skala de la Kasbah, an 18th-century rampart that looks out over the Atlantic and is defended by old brass cannons. Don’t forget to take a taxi to the end of the beach, Diabat, a place of pilgrimage for fans of Jimi Hendrix. When you’ve had your fill of this site, take a walk back to Essaouira to indulge in a scrumptious seafood meal.
