DAY 1 Casablanca

DAY 2 Casablanca to Essaouira

Following an early breakfast, we will set out to explore the dynamic city of Casablanca. We will visit the city’s crown jewel, the Hassan II Mosque. The third largest religious building in the world and the only one in Morocco open to non-Muslims alike, the mosque is a sight not to be missed. After our excursion we will make our way out of the city and enjoy a scenic drive through the countryside, stopping for lunch along the way. We will take in the night views of the ocean-front riad in Essaouira, where we’ll be staying for the evening.

DAY 3 Essaouira City Tour & Cooking Class

Rise and shine in the quaint fishing port of Essaouira! Today, take in the grandeur of the town’s ancient medina, a blend of Portuguese, French, and Berber architecture lining the shimmering sea. Savor a mouthwatering seaside lunch, featuring freshly grilled fish. Then, finish your meal with Moroccan tea and French pastries at one of the area’s cafés. This afternoon, explore a new side of the city with a cooking class! Learn how to make a tantalizing Moroccan chopped salad and fish tajine using the day’s fresh catch. Of course, you’ll get to savor your delicious creations at the end of the session!

DAY 4 Essaouira – High Atlas Mountains

Awaken at your own pace and be amazed at Essaouira’s peaceful squares, exploring craft shops and admiring art galleries. For an even more extraordinary adventure, take a ride on a camel at the beach! Later, journey to Ouirgane Valley, located in the High Atlas mountains, making pitstops to visit an argan oil cooperative. For the next three days, stay in a traditional and warm riad.

DAY 5 High Atlas Mountains – Souk & Cooking Class

After a delectable Berber breakfast, we will explore the Tinmel Mosque, one of only two mosques in Morocco that non-Muslims are able to visit. Afterwards, we will head to a neighboring village and check out the souk, where we can buy fresh organic fruits, vegetables, and meat. Following that, we will savor a savory lunch of kabobs, grilled meats, bread, and salad. Once done, we’ll be back at the riad for a cooking workshop to learn how to make Moroccan soup and traditional couscous. At the end of the trip, you will have cooked and eaten countless authentic Moroccan meals.

DAY 6 High Atlas Mountains – Lunch with a Local Family

Today we embark on a journey of discovery and culture. We will begin with a morning walk in the mountains, soaking in the magnificent views of the area, while also learning about the Berber culture from our knowledgeable guide. For lunch, we will be welcomed by a local family in their traditional village, where we will have the opportunity to share an authentic meal and build lasting relationships. Upon returning to the riad, we can relax, swim at the pool, or enjoy a traditional spa treatment.

DAY 7 Drive to Marrakech

Today, we embark on an exciting journey to the enchanting city of Marrakech. Take in the sights of the beautiful Dar El Bacha palace, formerly home to many illustrious guests. We’ll visit the Saadian Tombs and explore the Jewish mellah quarter, Koutoubia Mosque, and the 11th century medina. You’ll have the chance to shop around local artisan co-ops or explore Djemaa el-Fna square, grab a cup of tea at a rooftop cafe, and relax by the pool at the riad. Later, experience the allure of the square and behold the captivating performances of snake charmers, monkey tamers and other entertainers. Come and witness the magical city of Marrakech!

DAY 8 Marrakech Street Food Tour & Cooking Class

Today, we will embark on an exciting tour of Marrakech. We will explore the ancient city walls and vibrant palm groves, learn all about spices and sample the regional street food. Afterward, we will have the opportunity to discover the majesty of the city at our own leisure, with a visit to the Djemaa el-Fna, a traditional Moroccan hammam, and potentially a stop at the Yves St. Laurent museum and Majorelle gardens. Later, we will participate in a final cooking class before sharing a farewell dinner of our Moroccan culinary creations. Join us on this delicious journey!
